Schools and Nurseries
Our 2026-27 programme of workshops for nursery, primary and secondary school groups is now available. Download our programme brochure here.
Sessions are available at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Riverside Museum, The Burrell Collection, Glasgow Museums Resource Centre, the Gallery of Modern Art, St Mungo Museum and Provand's Lordship. Through our partnership with the RSPB, schools can also choose to take part in a field teaching session in Kelvingrove Park.
Highlights of our programme this year include:
- Designing the Riverside Museum - interactive design-themed tour for secondary groups
- Colours for pre-5s at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum
- New gallery trails for the Burrell Collection in a range of community languages including Arabic, Polish, Scots Gaelic and Urdu
- Scottish Wars of Independence for upper primary at Glasgow Museums Resource Centre
- Let's Print! at GoMA
- World Religion loan boxes available from St Mungo Museum
- Free buses and workshops available for secondary Art and Design departments through the William Syson Travel Fund. For more details click here.
ASL groups are free of charge, however multiple visits from the same group of pupils will incur a small charge.
Self-led visits for all educational groups are free, but please book in advance.

We also have a range of learning resources, including gallery trails and Roman-themed loan boxes.
