We noticed our child's passion for tech, games, and AI. We wanted to gain these skills to support our organisation, Together Reaching Higher.
We embarked on a journey to find resources and support and met Claire at The Mitchell Library. She leads Glasgow Life's CoderDojo Programme, coding clubs for young people. With Claire's guidance Together Reaching Higher, Glasgow Life, and Springburn Library came together. Leading to the creation of a CoderDojo at our local library in northeast Glasgow.
After several months of preparation we launched our CoderDojo together in January 2024. We were delighted to see participants attending the sessions.
Participants are using Scratch programming. We plan to introduce Microbits and other programming languages soon.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks and great appreciation to Glasgow life , Springburn Library team and special thanks for Claire for her invaluable support and collaboration in making this initiative a reality.
