Sign up for a Beatson Cancer Charity session to support colleagues affected by cancer

We're working with the Beatson Cancer Charity to run support sessions for managers and colleagues to help you feel more confident supporting colleagues affected by cancer.

Places for the in-person sessions are limited. Online sessions are open to all and have no number limit. You can register for a session here.

Session options:

For managers and supervisors

• In-person: Tuesday 21 October, 10 am-12 pm at Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum
• Online: Friday 21 November, 9:30 am-11 am

For colleagues

• In person: Tuesday 11 November, 1:30 pm - 3 pm at Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum
• Online: Wednesday 26 November, 10 am -12 pm

Amanda Brown, ER Specialist, attended a previous session and shared what she gained from it. 

“The session was run in a classroom style with three brilliant presenters. It had just the right mix of learning and chatting. I found out how tough things can be for people with cancer at work, and how we can help them. 

“We also learned ways to support ourselves and others close to someone with cancer. Everyone said it was really inspiring and gave us more confidence to talk and listen in a kind way. I’d definitely recommend it. It’s all about wellbeing, good communication and helping each other.”
