Convention Bureau events bring positive impact to city

Following the launch of the Glasgow Conference Impact Network earlier this year, the Glasgow Convention Bureau team has been busy helping two recent conferences leave behind a real impact.

The first event, in partnership with the 2024 European Congress on Sports Science, was a free to the public lecture on the benefits of staying active across our lifespan. Held at The Social Hub, the evening brought together a panel of experts to speak with and answer questions from the public.

The team also supported the International Congress of Infant Studies in bringing their 'Meet the Expert' parent and baby event to life at the Glasgow Science Centre. Talks from Early Years experts, story time for babies, interactive activities for infants and adults and even some Teletubbies made the event a huge success!

Public engagement events like these play an important role, allowing conferences to leave a lasting impact in our city, and with the support of the Glasgow Convention Bureau and the local Impact Network, we hope to achieve many more.
