✍ Modern & Contemporary Fiction, Romance
Writer and journalist Dawn Geddes joins two authors in conversation about modern love, heartbreak, and dating apps.
The Queen of Holiday Reads, Sophie Gravia, takes us on a laugh-out-loud joyride through Glasgow’s dating scene in The Dicktionary Club. Fed up friends Ella, Katy, and Zola create an exclusive, women-only website dedicated to exposing Scotland's worst serial swipers with brutally honest reviews. As the site goes viral, so does the drama in their own love lives. And when one of them starts falling for a guy she's been warning others to avoid, things get messier-and more complicated-than ever.
Meanwhile, James Robert Moore introduces us to Charlie in the heartwarming Not Good Enough. After his boyfriend of nine years betrays him, Charlie's carefully constructed world crumbles. At thirty-something, he's never navigated London's queer scene alone – and he's terrified. No relationship experience, no dating app knowledge, and absolutely no idea if he's a bear or an otter. However, as Charlie stumbles through awkward first dates and a new flat share, he soon discovers there's more to life than being someone's other half.
