Celtic Connections is proud to host the Battle of the Folk Bands 2026 final, presented by Hands Up for Trad. This thrilling competition showcases the very best emerging bands on Scotland's traditional music scene, offering audiences a first glimpse of tomorrow's folk stars.
Five exceptional finalists will take to the stage, each bringing their own unique interpretation of Scottish traditional music. From innovative instrumental arrangements to powerful vocal performances, this afternoon promises to be a celebration of creativity and tradition in perfect harmony

Selected from a competitive field of entries from across Scotland, these bands represent the exciting diversity and vitality of contemporary Scottish folk music.
