The raucous Québec quintet Le Vent du Nord returns to Celtic Connections for a foot-stomping live performance. Described as the hottest ticket in town the last time they took to the stage in the Old Fruitmarket, they’re back on familiar ground for another intense, joyful, and dynamic show. 

An award-winning and highly acclaimed band, this fabulous five-piece is a leading force in Québec’s exciting and progressive Francophone folk movement. The group’s vast repertoire draws from both traditional sources and original compositions, while their highly rhythmic and soulful music, rooted in the Celtic diaspora, is enhanced with a broad range of global influences.

A 12% booking fee and £1.50 restoration fund are included in the ticket price, as advertised. Restoration fund
From 1 September 2024, for any new events going on sale at our Concert Halls venues (Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, City Halls and Old Fruitmarket and Kelvingrove Bandstand), a new Restoration Fund of £1.50 per ticket may be added at checkout. View the full Restoration Fund T&Cs.

Accessible toilets

There are accessible toilets located to the right of the entrance to the auditorium on the ground floor and on the balcony adjacent to the Candleriggs Bar.

Assistance dogs

Guide and assistance dogs are welcome and are allowed in the auditorium.

Wheelchair access

Lift access to all floors. 

There are designated spaces for wheelchair users. A companion is welcome to sit with you. 

There is a wheelchair to borrow. To borrow a wheelchair, please ask a member of staff.

Baby changing

There is a baby changing unit within the accessible toilet located to the right of the entrance to the auditorium on the ground floor.

Cloakroom

The cloakroom is located on the 1st floor next to the toilets. There is a £1 charge (only open for events or where a client has requested the facility)

Free wifi

There is free public Wifi access. To connect, visitors have to register with the Old Fruitmarket Public Wifi which should pop up on their browser. After that visitors will only need their password for future uses.
