Barlanark Community Centre has thrilled the local community by hosting an impressive series of 20 dance show performances throughout the summer months. The venue bookings have been driven by Glasgow Life colleagues based at the centre and have provided entertainment for the whole community.

The venue's Main Hall and Theatre was filled to capacity with 180 at every show, and audiences of all ages enjoying the performances.

The state-of-the-art light rigging and PA system help to provide a professional feel for the young people taking part and make the centre a popular venue with dance schools.

The team at Barlanark Community Centre work tirelessly to ensure the success of these events by giving everyone a warm welcome and making sure all equipment is fit for use and that the hall is properly set up. Their commitment and hard work has paid off as they are already taking bookings for future events.

Glasgow Life Attendant James McKenzie said:

"We take pride in creating an environment that local community groups want to come back to time and time again. Our fully functioning stage area is quite unique in the East End and all dance groups love using the space".
